31 January 2006

Another jewellery picture. Jens Pind bracelet, done in square and round wire rings.

30 January 2006

Honeysuckle leaves. Everything was covered in frost today, and I liked the way it had stayed on the edges of the leaves.

29 January 2006

Not the best picture of the day, but the luckiest. Three swans swimming on the Tweed.

28 January 2006

A documented sighting of that rare creature, the pink Honda Jazz.

Early morning view from the car, parked in the car park at work.

24 January 2006

Acrobatic thieving squirrel. That fat/seed block is supposed to be for the birds! Taken from the kitchen window. Had to turn on the digital zoom.

23 January 2006

Chain I'm working on. Half-Persian 4-1, square silver wire rings. Quite a chunky piece.

21 January 2006

84 George Street, Edinburgh. Hmm. Like a lot of my pictures, it looks a bit washed out or overexposed. Something I need to work on.

20 January 2006

Bad picture of some homemade bagels. Only took two pictures today, this was the better one.

19 January 2006

Bramble growing at the base of a tree. Took 5 pictures, none brilliant, but a couple not too bad.

17 January 2006

Nothing special - I just liked the way the cloud was 'caught' on the tops of the trees.

16 January 2006

Didn't work out. I was going for the water droplet, but didn't get it quite right.

15 January 2006

No good pictures today. So a rather blurred one of some carrot cake. Used Nigella's recipe for carrot cupcakes/muffns, but didn't have any muffin cases, so just baked in it a rectangular tin. Seemed to turn out OK - better than the picture of it anyway!

14 January 2006

Edinburgh, Princes Street Gardens. Poser squirrel - it sat around in various positions on the tree for a good number of minutes while I took some pictures. There was another one, but it wasn't so interested in being photographed.

13 January 2006

A shoe from a pair I made on a course in November 2004. A boot from a pair I treated myself to for my birthday last December.

12 January 2006

Back garden again. Taken looking upwards through some trees.

11 January 2006

Discovered I had put dud batteries in the camera when I went to take a picture at lunchtime. So I had to wait until I got home. Picture of the fridge.

10 January 2006

Nothing good today. So a bad picture of the little pottery dog that sits on my desk.

9 January 2006

Inside today. Playing with macro mode. Nothing really worked out well - need a better set-up for this kind of thing, I guess. Anyway, picture of the centrepiece of a necklace I made. Stone was set for me by a jeweller in Dunblane, attached to a Jap12-2 chain. Sits as a choker.

8 January 2006

Loaf of bread. Made by me. Haven't cut it open yet, so although it looks OK, I don't know how it tastes.

Taken looking through the fence at the top of the garden, looking out from it. Used a fencepost as a tripod.

Last day of holiday. Christmas decorations on the fireplace.

4 January 2006

Carrbridge. On the way from Inverness to home. Stopped for breakfast. This was in the car park, just outside the car.

3 January 2006

Travel Inn, Inverness. Coming home from holiday on Orkney.

Monday, January 02, 2006

2 January 2006

Mull Head, Orkney. Came across this miniature stone circle someone had built. None of my pictures turned out that well.
